“New series entrant Prodrive’s 2008 Formula One effort is far from certain.” according to Autoweek: “Prodrive received the 12th and last team franchise last year on the basis that the regulations will allow “customer cars” from 2008 onward. Since then, Prodrive apparently secured a sponsorship budget and made a deal to purchase “customer cars” from McLaren-Mercedes. However, the “customer car” issue is delaying finalization of the new Concorde Agreement, which governs F1 and also is due for implementation in 2008. No one has come up with a definition of “constructor” that all teams will accept when it comes to a fair distribution of TV revenue generated by Formula One Management.”Read Article:
